Section One Entertainment was first conceived as a gentlemen's partnership for the production of an independent film called Barracks Rats by founder Joseph L. Puente and three of his friends in the Navy, Jeremy Para, Bill Cuellar and Ryan Nardi, all of whom were at one time assigned to the same work shift or "duty section" (Section One) at the Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA) Winter Harbor, Maine.
Section One is now the entertainment division of Puente Media, founded to provide professional media services to small businesses, non profit organizations and individuals.
Section One Entertainment's focus is on the development and production of short-form and feature-length films, documentaries and programming for television and the internet.
